Teresa founded the FTC in June 2015 after working with children and adolescents, parents and educators for 18 years in hospital, private clinics and schools. She was a Child Development part-time lecturer in Portugal and the UK for 15 years (ISPA, UAL, Instituto Piaget & University of Essex).
Her experience in Organizational Psychology includes 7 years as a consultant team coach (leadership, innovation and conflict management), after which, as Director of DIAG-Gabinete de Psicologia e Medicina Ocupacional Lda, she and her team successfully developed a method to improve the relational understanding of people & organizations (2004-2014).
Teresa holds a Clinical Psychology degree (ISPA, 1997), a Masters degree in Health Psychology (ISPA 2001) and has specialized in Expression through Painting (Paris, 2000), Coaching (Paris, 2005), Parenting for Primary School Years (UK, 2014), and Clinical Practice with Parents, Infants and Young Children (Tavistock Clinic in London, 2015). She is an OPP Effective Member nº 13255 in Portugal, and HCCP Registered in the UK PYL30656.
Susana is a Clinical Psychologist specialized in Group Dynamics. She did her PhD in Community Psychology (ISPA, 2012, Portugal).
She is an effective member for the Portuguese Psychologists’ Order.

Master in Women’s Studies by Universidade Aberta in Lisbon (2003, Portugal).
Lecturer in ISPA and Instituto Politécnico de Santarém since 1998. Consultant and trainer in several organizational change projects and training projects.
President and founder of APPEPASC – Portuguese Association for Study and Prevention of Sexual Abuse in Children (2006, Portugal).
She is the Organizational Consultant for the Family Training Center.
Dr. med. Andrea Preiss is a child and adolescent psychiatrist working in the university hospital Zürich.
She is head of a special programme for psychological support for children with developmental disorders and works as psychotherapist for children and their families and as consultant in schools and institutions. She mainly works as a clinician and also doing research in the field of development.
She is a Research Partner for the Family Training Center.
Cathy Douzil has an MA in visual arts from the University of Paris VIII and Thames Valley University in London.
She has lived in Lisbon since 1999 and combines her own artistic production and exhibitions with teaching art and illustration. Since 2013 she runs ‘Espaço 62’ where she coordinates artistic workshops for both children and adults.
She is the workshops’ art consultant in the Family Training Center.
